Early Voting
Early voting will be held at various sites in Guilford County beginning Thursday, October 23, 2014. The early voting schedule and locations can be found on the Guilford County Board of Elections website at http://www.guilfordelections.org. The closest early voting site to the UNCG campus is located at the Old Courthouse and is accessible via HEAT bus route #71. Registered voters in Guilford County may also vote at their assigned polling place on Election Day on November 4, 2014. For additional information please visit http://www.ncsbe.gov/ncsbe/elections.
Voter Registration
Those seeking to register to vote in the November 4, 2014 General Election should deliver or have their voter registration form postmarked to the Guilford County Board of Elections office by October 10 at 5pm. North Carolina allows college students to register to vote and vote using their college or university address. You may pick up a voter registration form at Jackson Library or register in-person at the Guilford County Board of Elections office (301 W. Market Street, Greensboro), Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm.
Political Activities on Campus
UNCG values freedom of speech and participation in the political process as fundamental rights guaranteed by the U. S. Constitution and actively encourages members of the University community to be engaged citizens. As a reminder, students, faculty and staff may not use University resources – email accounts, computers, vehicles, equipment, supplies, funds, postage, photocopying, faxes and the like – for political campaign activities.
